Timmins Cycling club members showed extremely well last weekend in North Bay for the July 3rd North Bay triathlon.  Devin Wittig left most competitors in the dust with a second place finish overall of the 128 participants.  Devin completed the 1 km swim, 32.2 km bike and 8.4 km run in a time of 1:45:59.  Training and hard work paid off for James Watt of the club with a first place finish in his age category completing the race in a time of 2 hrs and 28 seconds.  Julie Gagnon of Timmins walked away with a first place also for her age category  posting a 2:05:51 finish time.  Laurie Bezzubetz of Timmins passed the finish line with a time of 2:15:59 which was good enough for second place in her age category.  The weather was great but a little hot during the run and the course was well prepared and technically challenging.  Overall a great race had by all who participated.
